Have you ever really taken a close look at your hand?
Do you realize the amount of power you hold? Literally.
Now, sit back and think about how much you use your hands in everything you do. Think about how you use your hands in every part of your life. You need your hands for survival and yet how often do you remember how important they are, not only for your physical self but also for your spiritual self?
You write, type, draw, cook, pray, make things, fix things and heal others.
Here’s a fun experiment – watch your hands as you are speaking to others. For some of you, you’ll find that your hands are flying all over the place and for others you’ll be using your hands to emphasize certain points of your conversation. How many times have you pointed to something or gestured someone with your hand? Watch a professional speaker while they are presenting and notice how they use their hands.
And remember that those who don’t have all of their senses use their hands to communicate, the blind read with their hands and the deaf use their hands to speak. Fascinating, isn’t it?
The latin word for manifestation is formed around the word manus which is the latin word for hand. Think about that for a minute. Did you know that your hand is involved in your manifestation abilities? Notice in movies how witches will use their hands to conjure up spells and hold wands. Surgeons use their hands to operate. Chefs use their hands to create delicious meals. And healers use their hands to heal, whether it be massage, reiki, polarity, or any other modality.
Your hand is a conduit of power. It is a harbor of energy. Your hands are the key to understanding yourself. What if your hands could speak to you? Would you listen? Have you ever had your fingers tingle, kind of like a small amount of electricity running through the tips of your fingers? Have your fingers swelled up? Have they felt stiff and sore? Have they gotten really, really hot? These are all messages your hands are giving to you. Have you paid attention?
Hands have an integral place in our life. It’s time to pay attention to them and learn their language. Pay attention to your hands and listen to what they are telling you. The hand you see here is the healer’s hand, the hand of evolution. It was drawn by me using my own hand. When I tapped into the energy of my own hand, it was the first time I really understood how powerful our hands are and how we overlook their importance.
